Random Llama Facts:
-Llamas do not bite (as they only have front teeth on the
bottom and no teeth on top), but will spit at one another when agitated (usually
during feeding time to establish some semblance of a “pecking order”, but have
been known to spit at humans in zoos.)*
Beware!
-Family groups have territories defended by the males.
-Herds of families consist of one male and several (4-18) females, and young.
-Llamas tend to defecate in communal excretion sites. One can find dung heaps up
to 2.4 meters in diameter and about 31 cm in depth composed of small, dry
pellets.
-They are environmentally sensitive, gentle, and intelligent and in some parts
of the world are used for pet therapy with elderly and disabled people.

*I would like to note that as a "rare" victim of a Llama spitting attack, it is highly unpleasant and really bad smelling. I definitely DON'T recommend it.
